Tenille Townes is “truly freaking out” over a full-circle moment with global superstar Shania Twain.

Townes shared the best throwback photo on Instagram on Tuesday (December 13). The “Girl Who Didn’t Care” artist attended one of Twain’s concerts in her childhood, and was randomly selected to share the stage with the artist she calls her “hero.” Townes shared a photo of her 9-year-old self holding the mic on stage, with Twain kneeling beside her. Now, Townes is joining the “Man! I Feel Like A Woman” icon on select dates of her international “Queen of Me Tour” next year, she announced.

“If you'd have told this nine year old kid who was randomly pulled on stage with her hero, that a few years later, she'd be opening up for that hero on an arena tour, she would have lost her mind,” Townes wrote in her caption on Instagram. “Currently losing my mind... this is the craziest full circle and I can not wait for these shows 🥹🖤🤘”

Townes’ followers and fellow artists — including Hailey Whitters and Brothers Osborne’s TJ Osborne — gushed over the full-circle moment in the comments. Townes is set to join Twain’s “Queen of Me Tour” for several performances in Canada in November 2023, she shared on Tuesday.

Twain previously announced that her “Queen of Me Tour,” which bears the same name of her highly-anticipated album that’s set to release in February, will extend through 2023. Other special guests include Kelsea BalleriniLindsay EllHailey WhittersBrelandRobyn OttoliniPriscilla Block, and Mickey Guyton. Twain, who has already given fans a taste of her new era with “Waking Up Dreaming” and other Queen of Me tracks, said the tour is “gonna be a big party - no inhibitions, no conditions, let's get a little out of line!!”
