Here's One Thing Shania Twain Will NOT Change In The New Year

Shania Twain pledged that one thing will NOT change for her during the new year: her iconic fashion.

Twain has long been known for donning looks with bold colors and patterns, including her stunning red carpet look at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards last month. The international superstar turned heads in a long black skirt and sheer, see-through fabric connecting her leopard-print top and headpiece, draping from her shoulders. Twain reflected on her look on Tuesday morning (January 3), marking a “new year, (with the) same iconic outfits.”

The red carpet outfit seemed to nod to other iconic wardrobe pieces Twain is known for, including her leopard-print look in her legendary “That Don’t Impress Me Much” music video. She previously paid tribute to the 90s fashion, crediting designer Marc Bouwer with the idea to add the leopard-print hood and hailing it “just gorgeous and an iconic look.⁠” Bouwer responded at the time, deeming it, “one of the most iconic videos I’ve ever done! 😻😻😻😻😼”

Twain also reminded her social media followers that the next song from her highly-anticipated upcoming album is set to release on Thursday (January 5). “Giddy Up!” will be the latest track to release from Queen of Me, which is about a month away from its February 3 debut. Twain, who has already kicked off her new era with “Waking Up Dreaming” and other tracks, is also set to start her global headlining tour in April.

“These days, I'm feeling very comfortable in my own skin - and I think this album reflects that musically,” Twain previously said as she announced her album and tour in October. “Life is short and I want to be uplifted, colorful, unapologetic and empowered. I want to carry a clear message, particularly as a woman, to always remember my power and I hope the songs are a reminder to you, of that same power inside you!

“I want to celebrate this new chapter with you all on my tour!” Twain continued. “Vegas has been a dream, but I’m ready to be on the road and sing with you, dance with you and have a kick a** night out with you! This one's gonna be a big party - no inhibitions, no conditions, let's get a little out of line!! I’ll be Queen Of Me – you be Queen of YOU! 👑”
