The Chicks are set to become the latest country artists to launch a Las Vegas residency, the iconic trio announced on their social media channels on Monday (January 9). The six-show residency is set to kick off in May, with tickets on sale this week.
The Chicks are set to perform at Zappos Theater, at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, the same 7,000-seat venue where other country artists — including Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert — have also kicked off a must-see series of performances. Tickets to The Chicks: Six Nights in Vegas will be available Friday (January 13) at 10 a.m. PT. Performance dates include May 3, 5, 6, 10, 12 and 13.
“Finally getting to play live in 2022 left us hungry to continue our tour,” The Chicks — Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire and Emily Strayer — said in a statement on Monday. “After so many years without new music, last year felt like a long time coming. We hope our fans are ready for more in 2023 because we are not done! There is a lot more to come this year, and we are excited to get it all started in Las Vegas at the Zappos Theater this Spring.”
The Chicks toured last year after releasing their 12-track project, Gaslighter, in 2020. The studio album added to hits throughout the trio’s decades-long career, including “Wide Open Spaces,” “Ready to Run,” “Goodbye Earl,” “Cowboy Take Me Away,” “Landslide,” and many others.
