LeAnn Rimes shared on her social media channels on Tuesday (January 10) that she’s finally, “officially on the mend,” and can resume performances again.

The “exciting news” from the GRAMMY-winning artist comes after she announced that she would have to reschedule her shows — including those that were part of her “JOY: The Holiday Tour” — because of doctor’s orders. Rimes explained in a note last month: “It completely and utterly breaks my heart to have to announce that I will be rescheduling this weekend’s shows. While sick with the flu, my doctor discovered a bleed on my vocal chord, caused by the violent cough that came along with being sick. I am getting better, but I am unable to talk or sing…doctor’s orders! I am devastated to have to do this as there was nothing more that I was looking forward to than celebrating the holidays with you.”

Rimes confirmed on Tuesday that she’s “been given the all clear to perform for you again… so to celebrate, i’ve just added some brand new shows to ‘the story… so far tour,’” she wrote. “be sure to let me know where i’ll be seeing you. i’m already counting down the days until we are reunited!!”

Rimes’ upcoming tour dates follow the release of her powerful, highly-anticipated album, god’s work, which released in September. Rimes debuted her 12-track, 19th studio album after about three years in the making. The finished, genre-bending project is “a beautiful journey” that “will break your heart and heal it all within the same breath.”
