Dua Lipa Will Co-Chair This Year's Met Gala

Dua Lipa will co-chair the Met Gala this year, alongside some very heavy hitters. The high fashion event, which is hosted every year by style icon and longtime Vogue editor Anna Wintour, will get a pop of “pop” with Lipa among the celebrities who will be at the helm of planning the party. Along with the “Levitating” singer, actress Michaela Coel, Penélope Cruz, and tennis player Roger Federer will co-chair as well.

So what’s this year’s theme? Dua’s Instagram post reveals it will be, “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.” Vogue goes onto explain, “The theme will honor the legacy of the late designer who was at the helm of fashion houses like Chanel, Fendi, Chloé, Balmain, and, of course, his own brand, Karl Lagerfeld.”

Based on Met Galas of year’s past, this year’s event will likely live-stream around 5:30 or 6:00 p.m. EST on Vogue’s Twitter account.
