Shay Mooney Announces Baby No. 3's Arrival

Shay Mooney and his wife Hannah have welcomed Baby No. 3!

The proud parents shared heartwarming announcements of their son's arrival on their social media channels on Friday morning (January 20). The Mooneys shared a heartwarming video of the Dan + Shay artist holding his sleeping newborn son and singing to him. They introduced Abram Shay Mooney, announcing that he was born on Tuesday (January 17). Mooney said, “grateful doesn’t begin to cover it. ❤️”

“First song sang to the newest family member,” Hannah added in a caption of her own. “Abram Shay, you’re so loved and so prayed over, baby boy. Thankful for all that God has done for us this week 🤍”

The Mooneys are now a party of five, with Abram Shay joining big brothers Asher, who will turn 6 on Tuesday (January 24), and Ames, who will turn 3 next month. Hannah announced her pregnancy in August, sharing a sweet video as she tells Asher and Ames that they’re getting a baby brother (though the boys adorably admitted they thought they'd get a baby sister). The Dan + Shay singer shared an adorable clip of his own on his Instagram story that day, confirming that baby Mooney would be “coming in strong” this February.

Abram, however, apparently decided to arrive a bit early. Earlier this month, Hannah shared glowing photos as she neared the end of her pregnancy. She wrote in her caption as she shared the stunning maternity photos, by Nashville-based photographer Laura Moll: ““If you see me in the next couple of weeks, I’ll just be using this bump as a shelf 🤰🏼😂 The countdown is on!”

Mooney said he would “never be the same” when he became a father, when Asher James Mooney was born in January 2017. He promised to be “the father you deserve” from the day his first child was born. Ames Alexander followed in February 2020, and Mooney gushed: “You are already so loved. I’m so proud to be your dad.”
