Wynona Judd and Tanya Tucker are gearing up for a first-of-its-kind moment on nearly the final weekend of The Judds’ “The Final Tour,” which Judd embarked on in honor of her late mother and duo partner, Naomi Judd.

Judd has celebrated a massively successful, decades-long career, releasing country music both in the beloved mother-daughter duo and in her solo endeavors. The Judds released their debut album in the mid-1980s, and since then, Judd has blazed trails for new waves of talent in the country music industry. In all that time, Judd said, she’s never worked with Tucker, another legendary country artist who made her debut in the early 70s and has since become known for hits like “Delta Dawn,” “It’s a Little Too Late,” “Just Another Love” and many other fan-favorites.

“After all these years it’s hard to believe that [Tanya Tucker] and I have never worked together,” Judd wrote in a caption on Instagram as she posted a photo with Tucker and her husband, musician Cactus Moser. “That changes tomorrow night when she joins us for the second to LAST weekend of the Judds tour! Who’s coming to witness herstory?!?! 🤯”

Judd has recruited a star-studded list of special guests throughout the tour, including Martina McBride, Ashley McBryde, Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town and Brandi Carlile in select cities. Tucker is set to join in Greenville, South Carolina; Fairfax, Virginia; and Charleston, West Virginia. Judd kicked off the tour in 2022, and it continued this year “thanks to the overwhelming love from the fans! …I am so humbled by the support each of these artists have offered, and cannot think of a better team to help me honor this music.”
