Performing in front of a large crowd is many people's worst nightmare. So just getting up there can be stressful. Add to that getting hit with an episode of Tourette's Syndrome mid-song, and anyone - even seasoned performers - would panic.
Such was the case with Lewis Capaldi earlier this week. The singer was performing his huge hit "Someone You Loved" at a Frankfort, Germany concert when his Tourette's kicked in. In a fan-shot Tik Tok video, it became evident that the singer was struggling to continue because of his tics - but his fans did not let him down, taking over the singing (and doing a pretty stellar job).
Capaldi originally opened up about his Tourette’s last fall on Instagram Live, telling his fans, "The worst thing about it is when I’m excited, I get it; when I’m stressed, I get it; when I’m happy, I get it. It happens all the time. Some days it’s more painful than others and some days it’s less painful. It looks a lot worse than it is. Sometimes it’s quite uncomfortable … but it comes and goes." And when it comes, his fans have proven they are there for him.
