Pizza Acrobatics Is A Thing. Just Watch The Video

Tony Gemignani, born in Fremont, is an acclaimed pizza acrobat, and he’s the real deal. After setting up his first pizzeria in Castro Valley, he opened 40 such shops across the country. One of his busiest is Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco’s North Beach.

In addition to running his shops, he competes in pizza tossing contests…the World Pizza Games coming up later this month in Las Vegas. He’s performed thousands of times, and he still gets nervous. He also tosses dough at local festivals and fundraising events. When it comes to competitions, Tony’s won seven world championships, thanks to his pizza tossing skills!
