Storm Winds Cause Big Rig To Overturn On Lower Deck Of Bay Bridge

Four lanes on Eastbound 80 are currently blocked after a big rig turned onto its side just east of the 1st Street on-ramp. Video appears to show the big rig moving slowly on the Bay Bridge during the atmospheric river we are currently experiencing. Highway patrol is asking for other big rig trucks to not take the bridge, and drivers should expect major delays.
"All trucks are being asked to exit I-80 eastbound at 4th St. Please do not attempt to cross the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge at this time. There is not sufficient clearance for any trucks to pass the overturned truck & it will only create further congestion."
