Maddie Font Shared Her Pregnancy News With Taylor Kerr Before Her Husband

Maddie Font and her husband announced that they’re expecting Baby No. 1 this year, and the country star just revealed that her Maddie & Tae duo partner was the first person to know about the pregnancy — even before her husband.

Maddie and her husband, Jonah Font, posted heartwarming photos when they made the announcement on Tuesday (April 4), exclaiming that “Baby BOY Font coming this September!” On Wednesday morning (April 5), she took to Maddie & Tae’s social media channels to tell the story of how Taylor Kerr knew about the pregnancy before Jonah did:

“So, now that the beans have been spilled and everyone knows I’ve got a bun in this oven, T was actually the first — very first — person to know that I was pregnant. She was coming over for a vision board party, and Jonah wasn’t home yet. And so, I was like, dying to tell somebody, and I was gonna try to wait until Jonah got home so he could be the first (to know), and then I just couldn’t. So, I told her and she was the first one to know! In pure, best friend fashion.”

Taylor, who welcomed her firstborn child with husband Josh Kerr last year, gushed, “I knew it! I knew you were pregnant!” Maddie told PEOPLE when she and Jonah announced that Baby No. 1 is on the way that “oddly enough,” Taylor “had a feeling I was pregnant before I even knew!”

Maddie also pointed out that her baby is due in September, and the “lil nugget” could share a birthday with Taylor. She said Taylor’s daughter, Leighton Grace, is “gonna have a BFF.”
