Carly Pearce joined forces with Ashley McBryde for the duo’s latest live performance of their powerful heartbreak duet on the Grand Ole Opry stage. It marked the pair’s first live rendition since they won a history-making Grammy Award for it earlier this year.

“Never Wanted To Be That Girl” won in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards in February. Pearce, a first-time nominee, gushed that she “did not expect this” when she and McBryde accepted the award on stage. Their victory marked the first time that two women have been the winners of the category.

Pearce brought McBryde on stage on Tuesday evening (April 11) as she celebrated her 100th performance at the legendary venue. The award-winning artist gushed over the show at her “favorite place in the whole word,” and felt “super nostalgic” as she reflected on her first-ever appearance on the Opry stage eight years ago, in May of 2015. Pearce also introduced special guests as she performed “Easy Going” with The Isaacs, “Blue Moon of Kentucky” with Ricky Skaggs, and “I Hope You’re Happy Now” with Lady A’s Charles Kelley (subbing for Lee Brice), among other highlights throughout the evening.

Pearce is the latest addition to the all-star iHeartCountry Festival lineup on May 13, at Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Fans across the country will able to tune in to all of the incredible live performances at this year's iHeartCountry Festival as the event will be broadcast on iHeartRadio country stations nationwide, and on iHeartRadio.com as well as the iHeartRadio app on Saturday, May 13th at 8pm ET/5pm PT.
