Meta Shuts Down "Facebook Watch" Original Programming

Meta shuts down Facebook Watch, putting an end to all original content.

The group's chief of development and programming, Mina Lefevre, is leaving Meta. She worked as the head of narrative development for MTV before joining the firm in 2017. Meta is lowering costs by eliminating 10,000 positions. 11,000 staff were let go by the huge social media company last year.

Shows that got the boot include Jada Pinkett’s “Red Table Talk,” “Steve on Watch,” featuring Steve Harvey. “Big Chicken Shaq,” Cardi B’s “Cardi Tries,” and Taraji P. Henson’s “Peace of Mind with Taraji.”
