Eric Church posted a vague announcement on his social media channels on Monday morning (May 1), and his fans are eager to know what the “Chief” meant.

Luckily, they won’t have to wait long.

Church posted a black-and-white photo, simply captioned “Lives are made for chances,” with the date May 2 hinting at a possible release or more info coming soon. Some Instagram users commented: “I’m so in need of a Chief album it’s silly. Please 🙏🏻,” “please be a new album,” “Can’t wait to find out what all this means🔥,” and “Walking to a tour bus... Tour announcement?,” to name a few. Church seemingly dropped another hint that new music could be on the way, sharing the photo on his Instagram story with a snippet of “Lives Are Made For Chances.”

Church’s teaser comes as the “Drink In My Hand” hitmaker is gearing up for his first-ever outdoor summer tour. He announced the dates in January, saying at that time that he’s “never headlined amphitheaters” and “never brought a summer experience to your town that featured artists we want to share the summer with. Until now.” Special guests include Jelly Roll, Ashley McBryde, Lainey Wilson, Parker McCollum, Elle King, Jackson Dean, Morgan Wade and many others on select dates.
