Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley shared the first snippet of an upcoming collaboration that’s set to appear in the CBS drama Fire Country. The two country superstars announced on Friday (May 5) — shortly after teasing it on their Instagram stories the evening before — that they’ve “got some exciting news for y’all!”

Lambert and Bentley “have a few new songs” that are slated to appear on Fire Country, per the announcement on Friday that shared a sneak peek of one of the tracks. The reel posted to Instagram ends with the date May 12. A comment from the official Fire Country account reads: “Miranda + Dierks + Fire Country? A dream 😍 We’re SO ready 🔥”

Fire Country, which recently spotlighted genre-blending country artist Kane Brown in his acting debut, follows “a young convict (who) joins a firefighting program looking for redemption and a shortened prison sentence. He and other inmates work alongside elite firefighters to extinguish massive blazes across the region,” reads its description on IMDb. The series premiered in 2022, and was created by Tony Phelan, Joan Rater and Max Thierioit. It stars Thieriot alongside Kevin Alejandro, Jordan Calloway and others.
