There’s somethin’ ‘bout a truck…

Country music is packed with tons of anthems geared toward trucks, whether it’s a celebratory song (like Tim McGraw’s “Truck Yeah” that released in 2013), a breakup single (like Carrie Underwood’s recent “Out Of That Truck,” portraying a more subtle way of getting revenge on an ex than taking a Louisville slugger to both headlights), a sentimental ballad (like Lee Brice’s heartfelt “I Drive Your Truck” from 2012), and everything in between. The long-trusted and -beloved vehicles have served as a country music staple for years, and have become a prominent part of storytelling in the genre.

“‘Heart Like A Truck’ is all about self-discovery, growth and embracing scars as badges of honor,” Lainey Wilson said of her smash-hit Bell Bottom Country track when it made its debut last year. “After all, a truck that has hit a few bumps and earned some scratches has proved itself and its tenacity—the shiny one on the lot can’t say that.”

Here are just a few of the can’t-miss country songs about trucks:
