Kelly Clarkson spotlighted two powerhouse country artists in a written message on her Instagram story on Monday (July 10), strongly gushing over two songs in particular. Clarkson promised that her social media followers will “love both these artists… or you have sh*t taste 😜”

Clarkson’s recommendation comes shortly after releasing her latest album, chemistry, a 14-track project that made its debut on June 23. The long-awaited project includes the powerful title track, “mine,” “me,” “my favorite kind of high,” ”lighthouse,” “i hate love” featuring Steve Martin, “that’s right” featuring Sheila E and other highlights.

“If you’re needing a break from listening to my new album ‘Chemistry’ then check out [Lainey Wilson’s] ‘wildflowers and wild horses’ & [Cody Johnson’s] ‘when it comes to you’ ❤️ you’re gonna love both these artists… or you have sh*t taste 😜”

“Well dang,” Wilson reacted. “This means the world from you sister. Love you ❣️”

Wilson released “Wild Flowers and Wild Horses” on her latest full-length album, Bell Bottom Country, which released in October 2022. The highly-anticipated collection originally included 14 tracks and later extended with two new additions as Wilson made her acting debut on Yellowstone (“Smell Like Smoke” and “New Friends”). Johnson’s “When It Comes to You” appears on Human The Double Album, the Texas native’s massive 18-track project that released in October 2021. Listen to both songs Clarkson recommended below:
