Reba McEntire shared a new group photo as she gets ready to kick off her first season as a coach on The Voice. The beloved country icon smiled alongside Carson Daly, John Legend, Niall Horan and Gwen Stefani in the announcement that reveals that the smash-hit NBC competition show will return on Monday, September 25 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT.
McEntire was revealed as a coach on the next season of The Voice earlier this year, when she served as Mega Mentor on Blake Shelton’s final season. McEntire also served as a Battle Advisor during the first season of the show in 2011. Shelton ended his run on the show after a dozen years, saying in a statement when he made his announcement that the show has “changed my life in every way for the better and it will always feel like home to me.”
McEntire previously said that, serving as Mega Mentor at that time, that its “always a lot of fun to give advice because I study people when they perform, and I wanna be touched when they’re singing to me.”
Next year, Dan + Shay will make their debut as the first-ever coaching duo on The Voice. Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney will join returning coaches John Legend and Chance The Rapper, along with country legend Reba McEntire in the next coaching lineup in 2024, they previously announced.
