Chris Young unleashed the perfect summer anthem to crank up the volume with the windows down. The country star’s highly-anticipated new single, “Young Love & Saturday Nights,” aims to capture nostalgic feelings of freedom and whirlwind romances. It released to kick off the weekend on Friday (July 21).
Young has been teasing “Young Love & Saturday Nights” on his social media channels, including a snippet he posted on TikTok earlier this month (though he didn’t reveal the release date at that time).
“She loves his southern drawl from north of Atlanta/ That Silverado he got parked outside/ Loves a cranking ‘89 Alabama/ Kissing for an hour in the parking lot light/ Here’s to good girls that can’t keep from falling/ For bad boys that their daddies don’t like/ Small towns that keep staying small/ Here’s to old trucks, young love, and Saturday nights”
Young kicked off 2023 by releasing “Looking For You” and “All Dogs Go To Heaven,” a tribute to his dog (a German Shepard named Porter). His latest full-length album, Famous Friends, released in 2021 with a deluxe edition following last year. His latest single joins career-spanning hits like “Famous Friends,” “I’m Comin’ Over,” “Aw Naw,” “Gettin’ You Home,” “Losing Sleep” and many others. Listen to “Young Love & Saturday Nights” here:
