Morgan Evans Joins Australian Artist On Romantic Duet: 'Date Night'

Morgan Evans joined another Australian-born singer-songwriter on a romantic new duet. Evans is featured on Kita Alexander’s ballad, “Date Night,” which made its debut on Thursday (July 27). The pair began teasing the collaboration earlier this week, as Evans exclaimed in a comment on Instagram: “Let’s go!!! So stoked for the world to hear this!”

Alexander and Evans sing on the track, “I wanna take you on a date night… I wanna kiss you ’til we see the sunrise,” and they “never wanna be alone again.”

Evans’ latest collection of music to release is his 5-track EP, Life Upside Down, which made its debut in April. The EP included his post-divorce heartbreak ballad “Over For You” (and the live version from an emotional performance in Melbourne), “On My Own Again,” “Hey Little Mama” and “All Right Here.”

Alexander, a Brisbane-born pop artist who is married to surfer Owen Wright, is known for career-spanning tracks like “Plain Sight,” “Can’t Help Myself,” “Ocean Blue” and others. She released her latest single, “7 Minutes In Heaven,” last month. Alexander previously teased “Date Night” on her social media channels before announcing the release date and confirming her collaboration partner (though she said that one of her Instagram followers had “guessed correctly about who the feature artist is !!”
