Morgan Evans Says He's 'Happier Now' In Post-Divorce Heartbreak Anthem

Morgan Evans posted a reel on Instagram capturing some of his brightest highlights in life lately, revealing a snippet of an unreleased anthem as he sings that he’s “happier now than I’ve been in a long time.”

Evans shared the video for some “good vibes” at the beginning of the week, seemingly teasing that new music was on the way with his hashtag in the caption. The Australian-born country singer-songwriter sings that he’s “happier now than I’ve ben in a long time/ Ever since you walked out of my life/ Like a storm gave way to the sun/ I’m happier now than I’ve been in a long time/ Sitting here smiling for the first time in a while/ And I bet you thought that you could break me down/ Oh baby I’m happier now.”

The unreleased breakup anthem follows Evans’ EP that he released following his divorce from fellow country artist Kelsea Ballerini, splitting up after nearly five years of marriage. Life Upside Down includes Evans’ heartbreak ballad “Over For You,” in addition to a live recording of it from a show in Melbourne.
