Dylan Scott shared an acoustic rendition of a sentimental anthem from his latest full-length record, marking a milestone in his son’s life on Tuesday (August 1). The country singer-songwriter shared on Instagram that his son “started Kindergarten today, just doesn’t seem real. The good times really do go by way too fast!”
Scott released “Good Times Go By Too Fast” on his 16-track album, Livin’ My Best Life, last year. The project also includes his smash-hit title track, “Amen To That,” “Can’t Have Mine (Find You A Girl),” “Nobody” and other fan-favorites.
“Yeah, I wish time would tick a little slower/ Sometimes it feels like I blink and then it's over/ Better soak it in, better make it last/ Live it up while we can 'cause the good times go by too fast”
Scott’s heartfelt caption resonated with many others, including some Instagram commenters who wrote: “This song definitely hits home. It goes way too fast!!!,” “Ugh same!! My baby starts Kindergarten next week and this song really gets me in my feels ❤️,” “I can’t wait to see you Sunday! I’m definitely going to cry during this song my oldest starts preschool this year 😢, and “So absolutely true. ❤️ This is my most favorite song. Except my baby will be turning 21 next month. She was singing this with me on Thursday at your show. Great moments keep coming. ❤️”
Scott is a father of two with Baby No. 3 on the way. He and his wife, Blair Robinson, announced the pregnancy as they walked the red carpet at the 58th annual ACM Awards in May. Watch Scott’s post in honor of his son’s first day of Kindergarten here:
