Jake Owen Shares A Sweet, Full-Circle Moment With His Daughter

Jake Owen marked a sweet, full-circle moment with his daughter during recent performances at Major League Baseball parks. The Loose Cannon star shared a brief highlight reel to remember some of the best experiences at the Chicago White Sox and Kansas City Royals stadiums.

Set to “Nothing” from his latest studio album, Owen’s video he posted on Instagram on Tuesday (August 8) includes a glimpse of his 10-year-old daughter Pearl calling “play ball,” cheering fans, high-energy shows and more. Owen reflected that he “grew up loving the game of baseball and still feel like a kid when I’m at the ballpark. The difference is, now I bring my kid. Gotta love the journey of your life… play ball.”

“Nothing” is one of 16 tracks — which includes a nod to the classic 1960s sitcom, The Andy Griffith Show’s theme song — on Owen’s Loose Cannon, which released earlier this year. His seventh full-length album also included “Hot Truck Beer,” “Solo Solo,” “On The Boat Again” and other fan-favorite highlights throughout the track list. Owen previously said the songs on Loose Cannon, which captures his signature style of blending his classic country sound with summertime vibes, are “all over the map. …Anytime you make something creative it’s scary, but also fulfilling and interested to see what songs y’all get stuck on.”
