Scotty McCreery Seemingly Drops A Hint With 3 Cryptic Emojis

Scotty McCreery seemingly dropped a hint on his social media channels as he readies his fifth full-length studio album. The “Five More Minutes” country star posted a vague, 10-second clip on his social media channels on Wednesday morning (August 9), and many of his social media followers are eager for updates.

McCreery’s post only shows an image of two tipped-over solo cups and a bottle of wine that appear to have been left on the seat of a truck. He captioned it only using three emojis, a pickup truck, a man, and a glass of wine. The 10-second audio clip seemingly offers a teaser of a song that captures McCreery’s classic country sound, and some even said it sounded similar to Josh Turner’s style (one Instagram user, in fact, wrote that they “almost started singing ‘baby lock them doors and turn the lights down low,’” referencing Turner’s early 2000s hit). On Tuesday (August 8), McCreery posted a photo looking into the distance with a solo cup in his hand and a bottle of wine next to him. His Instagram caption read: “It’s lookin like my plan didn’t work out at all.”

Though it wasn’t immediately clear whether McCreery would release new music soon, the American Idol alum confirmed earlier this year that he’s working on his fifth studio album, following Same Truck, Seasons Change, See You Tonight and Clear As Day. McCreery’s career-spanning hits include “It Matters To Her,” “Damn Strait,” “You Time,” “In Between” and other fan-favorites.
