Scotty McCreery Reveals The Meaning Behind His Recent Teaser With 3 Emojis

Scotty McCreery revealed what he meant when he posted three emojis as a teaser for his next chapter of music. The country hitmaker announced on Thursday morning (August 10) that a new song — “one of my favorites I’ve ever written” — is set to release this month.

McCreery posted a snippet of the forthcoming country anthem on his social media channels. He previously “took some buddies up to the mountains of North Carolina to do nothing but write some country music,” he shared in an Instagram caption on Thursday. I’m proud to say one of those songs turned out to be one of my favorites I’ve ever written. Cab In A Solo is out August 18th.”

The “Cab In A Solo” announcement comes shortly after McCreery shared a cryptic teaser as he works on his fifth full-length studio album. On Wednesday morning (August 9), McCreery posted a 10-second instrumental audio clip with a snapshot of two solo cups and a bottle of wine left on the seat of a truck. He captioned it with only three emojis: a pickup truck, a man and a glass of wine.

Earlier this year, McCreery confirmed that work on his fifth studio album is underway, following Same Truck, Seasons Change, See You Tonight and Clear As Day. Listen to the latest snippet of “Cab In A Solo” here:
