Charlie Worsham debuted a sentimental ballad on Friday (August 18), featuring powerhouse country star Luke Combs to the duet. The two highly-respected artists released “How I Learned To Pray,” from Worsham’s forthcoming project.

Worsham initially released “How I Learned To Pray” on his debut album, Rubberband, which arrived in 2013.: “It wasn't in a church with a chapter and a verse/ Some preacher made sure everybody heard/ Or just some words somebody taught me to say/ I can fold my hands and bow my head,/ But there's just some things that can't be said/ Without a little walk-on-water kind of faith./ And that's how I learned to pray.”

"What I love most about this video is that it lets the song be the star of the show," Worsham said, per CMT. "You get to see behind the curtain a little bit with me and Luke singing in the studio, but so much of the footage leaves things up to the fan's imagination. That's what all my favorite songs do – allow the listener to inject their own life story into the song and video. ...The collaboration between Luke and I is one of those magical, only-in-Nashville, will-the-circle-be-unbroken kind of things that made me love country music in the first place. When I hear 'Pray' now, I hear how far I've come and how much I've learned about life and music, and it feels pretty damn good."

Worsham’s soon-to-release EP, Compadres, is a five-track collection full of star-studded collaborations. The one with Combs is the first to become available, followed by duets with Lainey Wilson,

Kip Moore, Elle King and Dierks Bentley. It’s set to release on October 13. Listen to “How I Learned To Pray” featuring Combs here:
