Brian Kelley captures the essence of small-town life in the latest anthem to release as he readies his full-length debut solo album. The Florida-born singer-songwriter shifts from beach-inspired singles to a country lifestyle on “Dirt Cheap,” which released on Friday (September 1).

Kelley began to tease “Dirt Cheap” on his social media channels earlier this week, including when he played a snippet of the song from his Jeep while he and wife Brittney Kelley sat in their driveway. Kelley said at that time that “Dirt Cheap” — written by Seth EnnisAndy Sheridan and Wyatt McCubbin, and written by Dann Huff — marks “the beginning of the next chapter,” in his music. He hopes listeners will connect with the song the same way he has.

“The moment I heard ‘Dirt Cheap’ I knew I had to record it. It reminded me of some of my favorite Country songs growing up that really pull at your heartstrings. As much as I love the beach, I love the country too,” Kelley said in a press release on Friday. “This song matches and meets me where I’m at in life currently. I’m working hard, so in love with my wife Brittney, and always keeping my eyes peeled for the perfect ‘Dirt Cheap’ property of our own. I am so thankful this song landed in my world, and I hope it resonates with those who hear it just like it did with me.”

Kelley’s latest release follows a few previously-released singles, including “See You Next Summer,” “Florida Strong” and “American Spirit.” Listen to “Dirt Cheap” here:
