Lainey Wilson marked a full-circle moment as she took the stage at a legendary venue in Texas. The Bell Bottom Country powerhouse went from selling merch for another artist at Billy Bob’s Texas, located in Fort Worth, to playing her own sold-out headlining show.
Wilson posted footage from the unforgettable moment at the World’s Largest Honky Tonk, set to “Wildflowers and Wild Horses” from her smash-hit sophomore album that released last year. The Louisiana- born singer-songwriter, donning her signature hat and bell bottoms with a fringed top, said: “In 2013 I sold merch for an artist at [Billy Bob’s Texas] hoping one day I’d be on the stage of the worlds largest honky tonk. Ten years later, we did that and sold it out. Keep on dreamin, folks.”
Wilson released her debut full-length album, Sayin’ What I’m Thinkin’, in early 2021. The 12-track project included the title track, “Neon Diamonds,” “LA,” “WWDD” and her hit single, “Things A Man Oughta Know,” among other highlights. Wilson followed it with her highly-anticipated album, Bell Bottom Country, before kicking off her first-ever headlining tour. The award-winning artist extended that project with additional tracks after making her acting debut in Yellowstone, “New Friends” and “Smell Like Smoke.” Wilson confirmed in an interview earlier this year that she's working on her third full-length album.
