Hayley Hubbard Shares Health Update On Her Father Amid His Cancer Battle

Hayley Hubbard shared a health update about her father after calling on “prayer warriors” late last year. She opened up at that time that her father, “Papa Pete,” had been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and checked into Mayo Clinic in Arizona, “where he’s been getting the best care from incredible nurses, doctors, and my mom.”

Now, Hayley — married to superstar singer-songwriter Tyler Hubbard — is sharing photos from a recent visit to Idaho to visit her parents. She and her three young kids, Liv, Atlas and Luca, spent time with her parents over the summer and appeared to enjoy quality family time on hiking trails, surrounded by stunning mountaintops on the horizon.

“Still on a mountain high from being home in Idaho with the kids this summer and being with my dad as he did his first hike after many months of being in a wheelchair and being told he wouldn’t walk again by some,” Hayley wrote in her caption as she shared photos on Instagram. “Thanks everyone for your continued prayers as my dad fights multiple myeloma, your prayers are working. And he’s one tough cookie. There have been so many prayers answered these past few months and we’re grateful for all of the love and support.”

Tyler wrote in the comments that it’s “wild to see the power of papa Pete and prayer.” Many others were quick to celebrate the progress “Papa Pete” has made, including fellow country star Russell Dickerson and his wife, Kailey, iHeartRadio’s Amy Brown and more.

In 2022, Hayley said her father was “doing really well and feeling strong” amid his cancer diagnosis. She asked others to “please pray with me for healing, for answers, for progress in the treatment of his neuropathy so he can regain strength, help managing the pain, and progress with the multiple myeloma treatment. Thank you everyone who has been praying and continuing to check in, it means the world!”
