WATCH Brian May Helps Explore Asteroid Headed For Earth!

Last week on KGB Mornings we talked about Bennu, the asteroid the size of the empire state building that could hit Earth in 2182. Now we have discovered that Queen’s Brian May has a hand in the exploration of this asteroid! Brian May is an actual astrophysicist and used his degree assisting NASA in a recent mission to collect a sample from the asteroid Bennu. Brian and a colleague created stereoscopic images using the spacecraft's data to locate a safe landing site for the sample collection. Brian says you can read the full story of the mission in his new book, "Bennu 3-D: Anatomy of an Asteroid", which includes a 3-D viewer designed by him.
