Hannah's Helpful Hands began when Hannah Karanick witnessed other kids teasing a classmate for their poor hygiene and unwashed clothes. Being from a low-income family, Hannah understood the struggles of not being able to afford basic necessities, such as new clothes.

Having seen the positive impact of new shoes, a backpack, and clean clothes on foster kids, Hannah set out to help the children at her former elementary school. Thus, the idea for Hannah's Helpful Hands was born.
