Bruno Mars was performing at HaYarkon Park in Tel Aviv, Israel this weekend, and was on his way to becoming the third artist ever to perform two sold out shows at the venue before the conflict between Hamas and Israel occurred. He would have followed in the footsteps of Madonna, who played in 2009, and Michael Jackson who played in 1993.
Due to emerging threats of a violence inside Israel, Live Nation Israel cancelled his second Tel Aviv concert. The security risks of keeping the venue open amid the conflict were reportedly deemed too high.
Mars and his crew made it out of the country on a flight to Athens. However due to the quick exit they made, they were unable to pack up their gear, and ended up leaving it behind in Israel.
