Chris Stapleton apologized to fans in Louisiana and Texas as he announced on Wednesday (October 11) that he would postpone upcoming performances because of an ongoing illness and doctor-ordered vocal rest. Stapleton’s “All American Road Show” tour stops this week will be pushed back to next month (in Corpus Christi, Texas; Houston, Texas; and Lafayette, Louisiana).

“To all my friends in Corpus Christi, Houston, and Lafayette, I am very sorry to let you all know that I am unable to perform this weekend’s shows,” reads a statement Stapleton shared on Instagram on Wednesday. “I have bronchitis and laryngitis, and on doctor’s orders am on vocal rest through the weekend in order to heal. I’m grateful for your patience and understanding, and hope to see you all in November.”

Stapleton’s originally-scheduled shows were slated for Thursday (October 12) on Corpus Christi, Texas; on Friday (October 13) in Houston, Texas; and on Saturday (October 14) in Lafayette, Louisiana. Those shows will be rescheduled for November 18, November 17, and November 16, respectively. Stapleton noted in his announcement that all tickets will be honored on the rescheduled dates, and anyone who cannot attend should contact their point of purchase within seven days.
