DJ EFN's Crazy Hood Productions Gets Its Own Day In Miami & Key To The City

Crazy Hood Productions is finally getting the love they deserve from their hometown.

On Friday, October 20, DJ EFN and his crew were presented with the key to the city of West Kendall. The entire team congregated outside of Camp Matecumbe as Miami-Dade Commissioner Roberto J. Gonzalez unveiled a brand new sign in the collective's honor and issued a proclamation that designates October 20 as "Crazy Hood Productions Day." The Drink Champs co-host and his squad were all in attendance as they received the key to the city of West Kendall, which is where the brand was created 30 years ago.

"What an honor to receive the first ever key to West Kendall 🔑 along with a proclamation making October 20th Crazy Hood Productions day in Miami Dade County!" EFN wrote in an Instagram post. "I truly appreciate commissioner @robjgonzalezfl, along with @cmtherilus, @karimfromkendall and the whole team that was involved in making it all happen!"

"It’s been a surreal weekend celebrating my crews longevity!" he continued. "Shout out to my entire @officialcrazyhood crew! What a way to celebrate our 30 year anniversary and it’s not over yet!!! On behalf of my whole crew we appreciate all the love and support from our community and from those afar! Thank you 🙏🏼"

Crazy Hood Productions has found success in multiple areas of the entertainment business. After the group became known for its memorable mixtape series, CHP eventually got into fashion and opened a clothing store in the 2000s. In recent years, the group became prominent force in the podcasting business by producing shows like Drink Champs with N.O.R.E. and EFN along with other podcasts like Father Hoods, Lost In Translation, Grumpy OG's and more. They also got into filmmaking with their popular Coming Home documentaries, which have documented Hip-hop in various countries around the world.
