Taylor Swift Breaks Own Record With "1989 (Taylor's Version)"

Taylor Swift's "1989 (Taylor’s Version)" sold over 250,000 copies in the U.S. on its first day. This makes it the third-largest sales week of 2023, following Swift's "Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)" and Travis Scott's "Utopia." Spotify shared that Swift broke her own record for most streamed artist in the first 24 hours of release, beating the record set by her 10th studio album, "Midnights," in October 2022.
The album is on track for more growth, with final first-week sales figures to be announced at the end of the week. There's potential the album becomes Swift's 13th number one album on the Billboard 200 chart!
