Megan Moroney joined award-winning trio Lady A to perform a stunning rendition of “American Honey,” on of the group’s biggest hits throughout their career. Moroney shared a video of the unforgettable moment on Instagram, wishing she could send a message to her younger self.

Moroney wrote in her caption, “who’s gonna tell baby meg that she’s gonna grow up & get to sing american honey with [Lady A] 😭🤍🍯.” Lady A dropped three orange hearts in the comments on the “Tennessee Orange” star’s post, and the band’s Hillary Scott gushed that she “loved singing with you!❤️” Other Instagram users applauded the performance.

“There's a wild, wild whisper/ Blowing in the wind/ Calling out my name like a long lost friend/ Oh I miss those days as the years go by/ Oh nothing's sweeter than summertime/ And American honey”

Lady A released “American Honey on their 11-track studio album, Need You Now, in 2010. That project, which also included the smash-hit title track, was one of many fan-favorites throughout the trio’s career. The band is also known for “Bartender,” “Downtown,” “Just A Kiss,” “I Run To You” and many other career-spanning singles. Most recently, Lady A released “A Love Song” and “Love You Back.”

Moroney released her debut album, Lucky, earlier this year, and extended the original 13-track album with Lucky (Deluxe) in September. The debut collection includes “I’m Not Pretty,” “Lucky,” “Tennessee Orange,” collaborations with Kameron Marlowe and Mackenzie Carpenter, and other highlights. Moroney also teamed up with Old Dominion on the band’s heartache ballad, “Can’t Break Up Now,” including on their latest full-length album, Memory Lane. Moroney joined Old Dominion for a stunning performance during the 57th annual CMA Awards earlier this month. Watch her perform with Lady A here:
