50 Cent wants to be known as a thing instead of a person going forward.

On Wednesday, November 15, the "Power" creator doubled-down on a tweak in his pronouns after he recently declared that he wants to be referred to as a thing rather than an average person. Earlier this week, the 48-year-old entertainer took to Instagram and demanded that he be referred to as "the thing 50 Cent" following his successful back-to-back shows in England.

"Please refer to me as the thing 50cent," 50 Cent wrote in his caption. "I do not identify as a person anymore I'm a thing. Thank you in advance."

"Yes I identify as thing, my pronoun is THING/ IT," 50 emphasized in his recent post. "Please refer to me as the thing 50cent,or you can say that thing 50cent is the s**t!"

It's not clear whether or not is simply trolling his fans or is serious about switching up his pronouns. If it's real, he wouldn't be the first rapper to do so. Lil Uzi Vert famously changed their pronouns to they/them on Instagram last year without any explanation. They finally opened up about the decision in an interview with fashion magazine 032c back in May.

"I never hesitated," Uzi explained. "But I did take my time to learn as much as I could about this before I was able to proceed. Taking the time to figure out who you are is a big part of what it means to be alive. Once you figure out whether you’re here with it, there with it, or both, you’re not alone anymore. This community offers access to a certain kind of support that you might not have had [previously during] your entire life because you weren’t raised that way. I come from a household where it’s not okay to be 'non' anything."

50 Cent says his pronouns are now "thing/it." Please refer to him as such.
