The Rolling Stones are getting back on tour in 2024 to support their lauded new album, Hackney Diamonds.

Tickets to 'Tour '24' go on sale today (Friday, December 1) at 10 a.m. local time. Stones co-founders Mick Jagger and Keith Richards told Q104.3 New York's Jim Kerr on Friday that they are as eager as ever to take their new music on the road.

"We're feeling really good about it and we're putting [Hackney Diamonds] on the road," Richards says. "There's got to be three or four [songs] in there that will be killers on the stage."

Hackney Diamonds arrived in October, making it the Stones' first album of original material in 18 years (2016's Blue & Lonesome was a covers album). Jagger asserted that there's nothing like the feeling of having fresh material ready for a live audience.

"It's quite an achievement ... a very good Stones record," Jagger says. "I think it invigorates the setlist. Even though, you might only do three numbers from it maybe, it's good to have something new to offer, and I think it's good for the band to have something new to play."

Heading further into their seventh decade of activity, the Stones haven't lost an ounce of their love for playing live. Richards says he can't help but grin when he's playing for people, and that's never going to change.

"When I'm up there, I'm looking at thousands of people having a great time," he says. "All I want to do is make it better; I don't charge extra."
