Carly Pearce shared a teaser that caught social media’s attention on Thursday evening (December 14). The “Country Music Made Me Do It” superstar, gearing up to join Tim McGraw on his headlining tour in 2024, wrote in her caption on a series of photos and videos: “‘Tis the season for end of the year chaos and last swipe surprises 😉🎄❄️⛄️”

The first slide captures Pearce sitting on a folding chair in blue jeans and a white t-shirt, and as Instagram users scroll through, they’ll see a snapshot of Pearce boarding a plane, Pearce appearing on a recent episode of Barmageddon, and other photos. The last slide appears to be a screenshot of a Dropbox folder labeled “! CP_MIXES 2023,” stirring anticipation for new music coming up.

Some Instagram users wrote in the comments: “If I could like this post a million times I would! Can’t wait for you to drop new music in 2024!!,” “Don’t be shy give us a sneak peek of a new song,” “THE CLIFFHANGER WE NEEDED BUT CANT HANDLE!!!!! Can’t wait for new music!!!! 😍😍👏👏❤️❤️,” and “pleeeease we’re dying for CP4😫😍,” to list a few. Pearce's fans on X, formerly Twitter, also quickly began to form “thoughts and theories,” in efforts to decode the singer-songwriter's clues.

Pearce’s latest songs to release include “Country Music Made Me Do it” (which inspired the name of her fall headlining tour), “We Don’t Fight Anymore” featuring Chris Stapleton, and “Heels Over Head.” Those songs debuted as fans eagerly await updates on Pearce’s next era of music, following 29: Written In Stone. The 2021 record included smash-hit singles “Next Girl,” “Never Wanted To Be That Girl” with Ashley McBryde, “What He Didn’t Do” and other fan-favorites.
