Maren Morris covered a Tammy Wynette ballad as she marks the end of her relationship with husband Ryan Hurd. The singer-songwriter couple married in March 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Morris, 33, shared a TikTok over the weekend that opens with a clip of a wedding ceremony that captures the groom saying, “I promise to smack that a** every chance I get.” The text above the video reads, “I would have been a runaway bride.” Morris stitched her own video at the end, singing Wynette’s “D-I-V-O-R-C-E.” That brief snippet spotlights the line: “Our D-I-V-O-R-C-E; becomes final today.”

Morris filed for divorce from Hurd, 37, in early October, citing “irreconcilable differences.” She and Hurd are parting ways after five years of marriage. They share one child together, son Hayes Andrew Hurd who was born in March 2020. Morris and Hurd have reunited since the divorce filing at least once, when they took their 3-year-old son trick-or-treating on Halloween.

The The Bridge artist recently shed light on her “ongoing” divorce in a radio interview. Morris said she knows “so many people that have gone through breakups or divorces (this year),” and she’s not in the “headspace” to date again yet. She also said she’s been writing often as she navigates the split from Hurd. Watch Morris cover Wynette's “D-I-V-O-R-C-E” here:
