Gabby Barrett unveiled a dreamy ballad that she wrote with powerhouse singer-songwriters Miranda Lambert and Hillary Lindsey, “You’re My Texas.” It’s the latest track to make its debut from Barrett’s highly-anticipated sophomore album, Chapter & Verse.

Barrett surprised her fans when she posted a snippet of the instrumental introduction to the song on Instagram, and announced in her caption on Thursday evening (January 4) that “You’re My Texas” would release at midnight. Barrett also revealed the Chapter & Verse track list along with the release of “You’re My Texas” on Friday (January 5):

  1. The Chapter
  2. Cowboy Back
  3. Dance Like No One’s Watching
  4. Glory Days
  5. Had It All
  6. Hard To Read
  7. Growin’ Up Raising You
  8. Off The Highway
  9. You’re My Texas
  10. Jesus On A Train
  11. Grow Apart
  12. God, Money & Love
  13. All Of My Life
  14. The Verse (Doxology) feat Phil Wickham

Barrett’s soon-to-release Chapter & Verse includes some of “her most autobiographical work to date,” per the Pennsylvania-born artist’s record label. So far, Barrett has debuted “Glory Days,” cherishing heartwarming moments with her husband and children, and “Growin’ Up Raising You,” about her life as a young mother, among other tracks. Chapter & Verse is set to release on February 2. The album follows Barrett’s debut project, Goldmine, which released in 2020 with a deluxe edition following in 2021. That era included smash-hits “I Hope” (including a version featuring Charlie Puth), “Footprints On The Moon,” “The Good Ones,” the George Strait nod in “Pick Me Up,” the wedding version of “The Good Ones” and other tracks.

Barrett and her husband, Texas-born artist Cade Foehner, are expecting Baby No. 3 this year. The American Idol alums tied the knot in 2019. They welcomed firstborn child, daughter Baylah May, on January 18, 2021, followed by son Augustine Boone on October 27, 2022. Baby No. 3, a girl, is due next month, Barrett previously confirmed.
