Trans-Siberian Orchestra Raised $1 Million For Charity During Holiday Tour

Trans-Siberian Orchestra raised $1 million for charities across the U.S. during its recent fall/winter 'The Ghosts of Christmas Eve — the Best of TSO & More' tour, according to a press release.

The symphonic rock collective's emphasis on supporting communities in need was a longtime passion of late-founder Paul O'Neill.

For every ticket sold at the band's 104 performances in 62 cities, TSO committed at least $1 to support local organizations working to bring hope and help to their communities. The group has donated nearly $19 million in two decades, impacting countless lives.

The holiday fundraising included a gigantic donation of more than $90,000 to St. Augustine Hunger Center in Cleveland, Ohio (thanks in large part to a generous $65,000 contribution from the Minutemen Family of Companies) and more than $10,000 for NYC's God's Love We Deliver from a concert at UBS Arena in Belmont Park, NY.

Other beneficiaries of the fundraising include St. Augustine Hunger Center in Cleveland, the Mason Dixon Christmas Wish Fund, the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, The Dragonfly Foundation, Toys for Tots, NewPath Child and Family Solutions, The Music Resource Center, Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Salvation Army among many others.
