Kenny Chesney embraces spontaneous, youthful energy on the latest track to release from his upcoming album, Born. “Just To Say We Did” made its debut on Friday (February 2).

Chesney said the spirited anthem is one that reminds him of himself and his friends growing up. He describes it as “a song where whatever it is, why not? Get out there and live, shoot your shot, do that bucket list thing... just to say you did.” On Friday, the country hitmaker said when he hits the road on his headlining “Sun Goes Down Tour” over the summer, “this song is a lot of the energy we live on. Not just my road family, but all you crazy, awesome members of [No Shoes Nation] pulling up and tailgating out in the parking lots where we come to life every weekend.”

Chesney is hitting the road on his highly-anticipated stadium tour, beginning in April in Tampa, Florida. He’ll stop in North Carolina, Georgia, California, Tennessee and other destinations before coming to a close with three back-to-back shows in August in Foxborough, Massachusetts. The tour also includes Zac Brown Band, Megan Moroney and Uncle Kracker.

Born is slated to make its debut on March 29. It follows Chesney’s latest full-length album, Here And Now (and its 16-track deluxe edition), which released in 2020. Chesney has released singles and collaborations since then, including “Beer With My Friends” with Old Dominion, “Da Ruba Girl,” a tribute to his late dog, and “Take Her Home,” one of the tracks on his next record. Chesney’s forthcoming era adds to career-spanning fan-favorites like “Get Along,” “I Go Back,” “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy,” “Save It for a Rainy Day,” “Don’t Blink,” “Beer In Mexico,” “How Forever Feels” and many more.
