Billy Joel's first new single in decades has come with a new music video.

Directed by "Turn the Lights Back On" cowriter Freddy Wexler and filmmaker Warren Fu, the video uses groundbreaking technology from Deep Voodoo to depict the Piano Man performing the wistful new track in earlier decades of his life.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Kennedy Center Honoree and six-time GRAMMY winner, Joel was granted the rare honor of performing his new single live for the first time at the GRAMMY Awards earlier this month.

"Turn the Lights Back On" has also hit No. 1 on Classic Hits and Classic Rock radio. It is Joel's first song to break the 'Billboard Hot 100' since 1997.

Joel, who said publicly for years, that he was no longer motivated to write songs or make studio albums began having a change of heart about two years ago when he stuck up a conversation with Wexler at a restaurant near his Long Island home.

The two began collaborating on some of Joel's unfinished material and before long, Wexler brought Joel the song idea that became "Turn the Lights Back On" and coaxed the rock legend to get back in the vocal booth.

Joel finally alluded publicly to the new single at a concert in December and announced it in January. iHeartRadio held a World Premiere for "Turn the Lights Back On" on February 1, broadcasting it on over 450 radio stations.
