Garth Brooks announced plans for a grand opening celebration for Friends In Low Places, his honky tonk located on historic Lower Broadway in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

Brooks made is long-awaited announcement on Tuesday morning (February 20), months after marking a soft opening with a dive bar performance at the new venue. The country icon posted a video at that time with glimpses of the line of bar goers wrapped around the corner on the sidewalk, his wife and fellow country superstar Trisha Yearwood’s appearance on stage and more. He said at that time, “we’re just getting started.”

Now, Brooks revealed Friends In Low Places will be open seven days a week in the “neon neighborhood”. He’s marking the grand opening on March 7. The grand opening will reveal the rest of the four-story building — which totals more than 54,000 square feet — including the third floor and rooftop. Friends In Low Places is located at 411 Broadway in Downtown Nashville, the former location of Downtown Sporting Club.

“If you are one of the lucky ones who come to this town and receive its many blessings, don’t you owe something to Nashville?” Brooks said in a statement on Tuesday. “Garth Brooks owes a lot to Music City.”

Brooks teamed up with Nashville-based Strategic Hospitality to bring Friends In Low Places to life. He also included a police substation in partnership with the Metro Nashville Police Department to increase safety measures.

Bar goers can expect tributes to classic honky tonks, private event spaces, a beach-themed rooftop space (The Oasis), and menu items inspired by Trisha’s Southern Kitchen and Yearwood’s cook books, including classic comfort foods. The food menu is anticipated to be available daily from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m., per information announced on Tuesday.

“I can’t imagine there being a Garth honky-tonk without Trisha Food!” Yearwood said in a statement. “I’m honored to get to be a part of something so exciting and so big and to work alongside the love of my life doing it. The whole team at Friends In Low Places is incredible!”

Friends In Low Places will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Brooks announced. The highly-anticipated venue joins previously-opened and upcoming establishments by Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, Blake Shelton, Eric Church, Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs and other country stars.

“We feel very lucky to have the chance to be part of Lower Broad, which is arguably THE hottest spot in the country,” Brooks previously said in a news release announcing his bar. “The goal is a classic honky-tonk that welcomes all and encourages love and kindness while playing the greatest music in the world in the home of country music.”
