Cody Johnson Delivers Update On Highly-Anticipated 'Leather' Deluxe Edition

Cody Johnson confirmed that the deluxe edition of his latest full-length album, Leather, is on its way.

The Texas-born country hitmaker released the 12-track album in November, including powerful tracks like “Dirt Cheap,” “Whiskey Bent” featuring Jelly Roll — Johnson explained how the collaboration with Jelly Roll happened during an interview on The Bobby Bones Show — “Leather,” “Long Live Country Music” featuring Brooks & Dunn, “The Painter” and other highlights. Leather is Johnson’s third full-length project, following Human The Double Album in 2021 and 2019’s Ain’t Nothin’ To It. Johnson said during a recent performance at the 2024 Country Radio Seminar (CRS) in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee that the deluxe edition is due this year. He did not, however, confirm a release date as of publication time on Friday (March 1).

Johnson is in the midst of his headlining “The Leather Tour,” featuring special guests Justin Moore, Chris Janson and Dillon Carmichael. The tour kicked off in January with a stop in Sacramento, California, and has continued in Arizona, Tennessee, Arkansas and other destinations since then. Johnson’s next stop is set for Indianapolis, Indiana, and will continue in his home state of Texas, North Dakota, Louisiana, Florida and other destinations.
