Carrie Underwood Reacts To Chapel Hart's Cover Of 'Jesus Take The Wheel'

Carrie Underwood shared her reaction to a stunning rendition of “Jesus Take The Wheel.” Chapel Hart — a trio made up of sisters Danica Hart and Devynn Hart, and their cousin Trea Swindle — delivered a breathtaking a cappella rendition of the beloved ballad as a tribute to Underwood on her birthday over the weekend.
Chapel Hart wrote in their caption as they posted the video on Instagram that they “couldn’t let the day go by without wishing the legendary [Carrie Underwood] a happy birthday 🥳😁 We felt like we HAD to bring this classic back for her special day! Thanks for your contribution to country music ❤️”
Underwood celebrated her birthday on Sunday (March 10). She turned 41. The Denim & Rhinestones powerhouse commented on Chapel Hart’s birthday tribute on Wednesday morning (March 13) with an emoji of a pair of hands clapping and a heart. She also shared the video on her Instagram story with a red heart emoji. Underwood released “Jesus Take The Wheel” as one of the first singles of her career on her debut full-length album, Some Hearts. The 14-track project released in 2005, following Underwood’s American Idol victory. The album also includes “Wasted,” “Don’t Forget to Remember Me,” “Before He Cheats,” and Underwood’s first-ever single that she performed on the American Idol season 4 finale, “Inside Your Heaven.”
Chapel Hart has previously paid tribute to some of country music’s most beloved artists. Notably, the trio captured America’s attention when they appeared on America’s Got Talent with a rendition of “You Can Have Him Jolene,” inspired by Dolly Parton’s 1970s classic (with an updated twist to the storyline). They quickly drew praise from other legendary women in country, including Tanya Tucker, and released “Welcome To Fist City,” inspired by the late Loretta Lynn, on their full-length album last year.
