Luke Combs posted photos of an “unreal” portrait drawn by a 16-year-old artist.

Anthony Miller shared his finished 18x24 charcoal drawing of the award-winning country star, noting in a caption on Instagram that he spent more than 50 hours over the course of more than a month to create the portrait. It’s Miller’s first installment of a series he’s starting to draw some of the biggest artists of the genre, and he “had to start with the best of them all.” Last week, Miller shared a reel set to Combs’ 2019 hit “Cold As You,” offering Instagram users a time-lapsed glimpse of the process to create the impressive charcoal portrait.

“This is unreal!!! Shoutout to [Anthony Miller] for the drawing!! Kid is only 16…,” Combs wrote as he shared the drawing on Instagram on Wednesday evening (March 20). Instagram users were taken aback by MIller’s skill, including country artist Meghan Patrick, who said she “wouldn’t have even guessed that was a drawing. Insane talent!” Other commenters agreed, writing that they thought it was a black-and-white photo of the country hitmaker until they read the caption and realized it’s a charcoal drawing.

Combs is also nominated at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards, alongside other heavy-hitters in the genre like Lainey WilsonJelly Roll and others. See the full list of country artists nominated here. Fans across the country will be able to watch the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards live as the show will be airing live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Monday, April 1st from 8pm-10pm ET live/PT tape-delayed on FOX. The event will also be broadcast on iHeartRadio stations nationwide and on the free iHeartRadio app.
