TRUMP MEETS DESANTIS IN FLORIDA Trump needs donors and DeSantis has quite the rolodex of them so you knew something like this is going to have to happen. Will Trump choose Ron as Veep? I doubt it but you never know. My money is still on a woman, though Kristi Noem has taken herself out of that race by bizarrely admitting she shot and killed a dog she deemed "untrainable" in her new book. I'm not sure why she felt the need to hand the world the ultimate in opposition research but she did it. I hope she sells books because her hopes of being a Veep in a country where we spend billions on our pets is over. Trump needs cash as he's burning through it defending himself from various charges and lawsuits so he met with DeSantis to get info on HIS donors. As a DeSantis fan I know this stuff is just part of politics but it feels so gross. I wonder if Trump dangled VP in front of Ron and I hope Ron said, no thanks. Look at how well that worked out for his last VP.

This is what happens when a political party makes its bones by calling the opposition fascists every time it disagrees, eventually the inmates take over the asylum and use those slurs on the hometeam. That's what happened when likeable Democrat Mayor Mike Johnston went to meet the protesters who are breaking the law at the Auraria campus anyway. He asked the "protesters" if they would take down their tents and continue to protest. They called him a "f*cking fascist" instead. Heh.

THE AURARIA CAMPUS ISSUED A FEW STATEMENTS But it's fairly obvious to me that these "protesters" are not going to pay attention to several sternly worded statements. You can read them here but as far as I know there are still tents on Tivoli Quad. Your move, Campus officials.

THIS AS PROTESTERS SEEK AMNESTY The great thing about America is you can protest to your heart's content here. Whatever your cause, you can vent your spleen because of our robust Free Speech protections. That being said, there is nothing in the Constitution about being free of consequences for your actions. If you decide to protest at Google, they can fire you, as we've seen. Now protesters who have been arrested and suspended or bounced out of college have a new demand: amnesty. These skulls full of mush are now DEMANDING they be allowed to shut down campus without any reaction from the schools, which is ridiculous. Students have rarely been fully kicked out, but they are worried about whether or not their suspensions will mess up their graduate school entrances. Should have thought about that before you set up an illegal campground on the campus green. This is the ultimate FAFO campus edition. It is my fervent wish that the schools do not back down but I don't have a lot of confidence that schools outside the south have any backbone.

ONE PROTESTER KICKED OUT WHEN TALKING ABOUT KILLING JEWS At least this guy is honest, amiright? Khymani James is a dude who finds racism and other ways to be offended in every aspect of life. He's been raised to be a radical seeing injustice in the world being perpetuated by anyone he hates, mainly white people and Jews. He asked the question whether Jews should be allowed "to live" and finally Columbia did something about his raging anti-Semitism and kicked him out. Or at least banned him from campus. He's Columbia's own Tay Anderson from where I'm sitting. I'm sure he'll find a new university home where his special brand of anti-Semitism easily, but it won't be at Columbia. With even Joe Biden coming out to condemn James' vile statements about wanting to kill Jews I'm sure he's bereft without the political home that created him.

NOTED TERRORIST ANGELA DAVIS SPEAKS TO SKULLS FULL OF MUSH Shame on the Denver Gazette for failing to mention that Angela Davis bought and supplied the guns that killed a judge during a kidnapping by a group of civil rights extremists in the 60s. This is what passes for a biography of Angela Davis:

Davis was heavily involved in the civil rights movement in the 1960s as a professor and activist. She has written about and protested against capitalism, segregation and racism in the American south, protested against the Vietnam War, imperialism and war, generally, and even participated in the Girl Scouts National Roundup in Colorado in 1959.

She was also a fugitive from justice after helping the Soledad Brothers break out of jail and eventually murder a judge overseeing their trial. But don't let the facts get in the way of a good retread of another 60s hippie clinging to relevance.
