YoungBoy Never Broke Again has been granted bond in his prescription drug fraud case.

On Thursday, May 9, the imprisoned artist appeared in a Cache County courtroom for a preliminary hearing for bail. YB walked into the room while handcuffed in an orange jumpsuit. His attorneys and the prosecution came to an agreement that the 24-year-old artist would waive his right to a preliminary hearing and, in exchange, have his bond set at $100,000. The judge approved the agreement and set up his arraignment for July. While he was being escorted out of the room, he flashed a smile at some family and the mother of his child Yaya Mayweather.

His bond was set over three weeks after he was arrested at his home in Utah. NBA YoungBoy was apprehended by police following a months-long investigation into a fraudulent prescription drug ring the rapper allegedly ran with two other women. According to a lengthy affidavit, YB allegedly pretended to be a doctor and ordered fake prescriptions for promethazine with codeine. After they allegedly hit up multiple pharmacies in Utah, his associates were allegedly caught in the by police as they were trying to pick up their last order.

Once authorities figured out the ruse, the Richest Opp rapper was arrested while he was on house arrest and took him into custody. He was booked and charged with 66 counts in total including identity fraud, forgery, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a weapon by a felon, two counts of fraudulently obtaining a prescription and more.
